MEALS ON WHEELS DRIVER

Join a team dedicated to providing nutritional meals to older adults unable to prepare meals for themselves.  Macedonia Family and Community Enrichment Center’s Meals on Wheels program currently has an immediate opening for a part-time driver who will also assist with the prep and packaging of the meals, along with delivering food safely and courteously to our seniors.

The driver will operate a lightweight agency vehicle and provide friendly delivery of meals and provide feedback from participants relating to their meals or schedule. 

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills 

  • Ability to work well with people of diverse social, cultural and economic backgrounds

  • Good organizational skills and detail-orientation 

  • Act 33, 34 and FBI clearances required

  • Valid PA driver’s license, excellent driving record with minimal incidents

Position details:

Schedule: Monday / Wednesday / Friday – 24 total hours

Hours:  7am to 3pm

Compensation:  $18 per hour

Because Macedonia FACE serves medically vulnerable consumers COVID-19 vaccination is recommended.

All positions require satisfactory results of a background check and drug screen, as well as Act 33/34 and FBI fingerprint clearances. All employees will be subject to a probationary period of no less than 180 calendar days.
