Family and Community Engagement Supervisor - Full-Time
JOB SUMMARY:
​
This position is responsible for the day-to-day supervision and operations for Macedonia FACE Family and Community Engagement Services.
​
RESPONSIBILITIES:
​

Supervises the Family Coordinators in their day to day activities and provides training, bi-weekly supervision and mentoring support.

Provides guidance with cases and provides appropriate feedback/recommendations (safety/engagement).

Assures staff members adhere to all of the models used in service delivery, i.e., observing home visits; conferences; contacting families and workshop facilitation to provide measurable and clinical feedback.

Resolves complaints made by families/clients and stakeholders in a timely manner with knowledge and input of the FES Program Manager.

Discusses job performance problems with employees to identify causes and issues; resolves problems and communicates this process with the FES Program Manager.

Assists with facilitating unit meetings and ongoing training for staff.

Attends community meetings with partner agencies who work in the fields of HIV/AIDS prevention, healthy self-esteem, bullying prevention and truancy prevention.

Manages and resolves crisis calls with the assistance of the FES Program Manager.

Communicates with collateral contacts and stakeholders.

Provides weekly/monthly quality assurance checks on files and unit paperwork (meets all deadlines).

Tracks pertinent data and works in partnership with agency supervisors to assure data entry is complete.

Responsible for a minimal case load to provide direct service including, but not limited to, truancy prevention and youth prevention workshops; responsible for conducting home visits, conferences and facilitating a wide range of educational/prevention workshops geared towards positive youth behavior.

REQUIREMENTS:
​

Bachelor’s degree in Social Science, Education, or related field is required. MSW is preferred.

Minimum of three (3) years of case management experience, along with working with children and families.

Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a supervisory/team leader capacity.

Basic working knowledge of the Pittsburgh Public school system and the Pittsburgh Promise Program.

Life/work experience must demonstrate commitment to children, families, and teen services.

Excellent interpersonal skills and respect for family traditions, cultural and racial diversity is essential.

Ability to work well with people of diverse social, cultural, and economic backgrounds.
-
Must be able to work effectively with children ages 11-18 and community agencies.
-
Familiarity with the Hill District and surrounding area resources and community service providers is preferred.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Excellent communication and organizational skills, along with attention to detail.

Valid PA driver’s license, clean driving record, insurance, and registration is required.
SALARY:

$50,000/annual

All positions require satisfactory results of a background check and drug screen, as well as Act 33/34 and FBI fingerprint clearances. All employees will be subject to a probationary period of no less than 180 calendar days.
