Choice Neighborhood Supervisor (Bedford Choice Neighborhood)- Full-Time
As a proactive, experienced, and creative professional with a “Whatever It Takes” attitude, the Choice Neighborhood Supervisor will be responsible for the daily supervision and operations of the Choice Neighborhood Implementation Grant (CNIG). As informed by the lived experience of trauma, both personal and collective, Trauma Informed Community Development (TICD) is a framework that establishes and promotes resilient healing and healthy communities so that people can be healthy enough to sustain opportunity and realize their potential.
The Choice Supervisor with Macedonia Family and Community Enrichment Center provides direct supervision of the Community Care Coaches and Education Liaison. The Choice Supervisor is responsible for supervising the activities, deliverables, training, mentoring and performance coaching for the staff who deliver services to the Bedford Dwellings Residents. The Choice Supervisor resolves complaints from families and other stakeholders and monitors adherence to Macedonia FACE policies and unit outcomes.
What Will I do?

Supervise the Community Care Coaches (CCC) in their day-to-day activities and provide training, bi-weekly supervision and mentoring support; coordinate team supervision and consultation, providing individual, group, and field supervision.

Responsible for ensuring the provision of quality case management services to all Bedford Dwellings residents for the duration of the Choice Neighborhood Implementation Grant (CNIG).

Ensure compliance with CNIG.

Monitor CCC engagement and effectiveness; review documentation for detail and accuracy.

Assure staff members are adherent to the modalities adopted by the grant project, i.e., observing home visits; contacting families for feedback; reviewing assessments and attending other meetings to provide measurable and clinical feedback.

Resolve complaints made by families/clients and stakeholders in a timely manner with knowledge and input of Program Manager and Project Manager.

Provide oversight of Lifeline program and oversee referrals from Bedford Dwellings Residents for timely resolutions.

Discuss job performance with employees to provide positive feedback as well as to identify issues, working on resolving problems and communicating this process with the Program Manager in accordance with agency policies.

Coordinate training in the areas of trauma-informed care and community development, the COACH model, and case management best practice.

Build sustaining relationships with community groups such as the tenant council.

Attend professional meetings/trainings with the support of the Program Manager and Project Manager as applicable, including tenant council meetings.

Handle crisis calls with the assistance of the Program Manager and Project Manager.

Communicate closely with Housing Authority of the City of Pittsburgh (HACP) and Trek Development to ensure that resident questions about relocation are answered and that residents are informed, involved, and empowered.

Provide weekly/monthly quality assurance checks on files and unit paperwork (in accordance to established deadlines).

Track pertinent data and work in partnership with the Project Manager to assure data entry is completed.

Provide guidance with cases and give appropriate feedback/recommendations (i.e. engagement techniques).
What will make you a great fit (the ideal candidate for this role has a unique blend of the following):

Bachelor’s degree in social science, education or related field; MSW is preferred

Minimum 3 years working experience with children and families
-
Life/work experience must demonstrate commitment to children and families
-
Respect for family traditions, cultural and racial diversity is essential
-
Familiarity with the Hill District and surrounding area resources in Allegheny County and community service providers is preferred
-
Minimum one year experience in a supervisory/team leader capacity
-
Valid PA driver’s license, clean driving record, valid insurance and registration required
-
Act 33, 34, and FBI clearances required
-
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Suite

Strong written and verbal communication skills

SALARY: $50,000 annually. Position is hybrid.

All positions require satisfactory results of a background check and drug screen, as well as Act 33/34 and FBI fingerprint clearances. All employees will be subject to a probationary period of no less than 180 calendar days.
